When you think of riding or working with a horse, it shouldn’t be a job, but an opportunity to bond and understand an amazing animal.
He should be treated with respect and allowed to participate as a partner. He should be taught in a way he can easily understand. As horsemen, we should take the time to understand how he thinks, and learn to communicate with him in the language he knows, creating a conversation between willing partners–not a dictatorship.
Allow yourself to step into his world for a completely different perspective.
